SCORING: There are 13 scoring categories. 9 for skaters and 4 for goalies. Each scoring category is worth 1 point. Whoever wins the most scoring categories in your matchup gets the win.
SCORING CATEGORIES:
Skaters (9) - Goals, Assists, Points, Special Teams Points, Shots on Goal, Hits, Blocks, Takeaways and Faceoff Wins.
Goalies (4) - Wins, Shutouts, Goals Against Average and Save Percentage. (Goalies must have a minimum total of 2 GP per matchup)
MATCHUPS: Matchups are Head to Head. The matchups are 7 days long. Playoffs are also 7 days long.
LINEUPS: Each team can carry a max of 28 roster players. 20 active, 5 bench and 3 injured reserve. You may also carry a max of 15 entry level players. Entry level players may be placed in a minors slot.
The minimum players needed in an active lineup is 18. The maximum is 20. Only goalies positions can be left unfilled.
Lineup changes may be made daily.
Active Lineups by Position
4 Centres
4 Right Wingers
4 Left Wingers
6 Defenceman
2 Goalies (Goalies must have a minimum of 2 games played for each matchup to be eligible for goalie scoring categories)
MINORS: A couple things qualify a player to be placed in the minors. Listed Below:
1: If a player is under the age of 21, as of December 31 of the current year....he may be placed in the minors.
2: If a player is 21 or older...but has a 2 way contract, then he may be also placed in the minors. Check the spreadsheet to see if a player is on a 2 way. Contracts colored dark blue or pink (on the spreadsheet) are considered 2 way contracts.
If a player does not fit any of the criteria above, then he can't be placed in the minors. If an owner ignores these rules he will receive the following:
1st offence: Warning.
2nd offence: Forfeiture of their matchup for the coinciding week.
3rd offence: Banned.
OVER THE CAP PENALTY:
In the event that an owner has been found to be over the cap, they will forfeit their current matchup. All of their past matchups will also be looked at to see if they were over the cap. If they are, they will forfeit those matchups as well. All owners are encouraged to check their opponents lineups and report to the commissioner if they see something wrong. But please do not complain about a matchup that happened in the past. Once a matchup is finished, then it's official.
